A revival of Criminal Minds is in development for Paramount+, just a year after it concluded.

A revival of Criminal Minds is in development for Paramount+, just a year after it concluded on CBS.

It isn’t clear which cast members would return but longtime showrunner Erica Messer would reportedly return.

Created by Jeff Davis, Criminal Minds ran for 15 seasons ending in February 2020. The cast included Mandy Patinkin, Shemar Moore, Joe Mantegna, Aisha Tyler, Matthew Gray Gubler, Thomas Gibson, Lola Glaudini, Paget Brewster, and spawned two spinoffs — Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

CBS is also plotting procedural spinoffs NCIS: Hawaii and FBI: International.

Paramount+, a rebranding of 10 All Access, is due to launch in Australia mid year.

  1. Yes, bring it back and Hitch also. Maybe Derek could make appearances too. It was different after Hotch left.
I am so tired of Law & Order. So many episodes of Pedophiles.
    Criminal Minds brought different interests.

  2. I have mixed feelings about this. Criminal Minds felt like it was running out of ideas towards the end, although the shorter final season had some very good writing and a strong story arc which showed that maybe there’s more life in it yet.

I just hope that with Prentiss now running the FBI, the producers can make up with Thomas Gibson and return Hotch to the show.

  3. This sounds like a bad idea, the show had very much run its course by the end of its run and not enough time has passed for a revival.
Surely the back catalog is enough eps.
