Back in 1991 Neighbours’ iconic pooch Bouncer was bizarrely given a dream sequence, fantasising that he was ‘marrying’ Rosie, Clarrie McLachlan’s (Frederick Parslow) Border Collie, who lived next door.
The Times UK named it one of Neighbours most memorable moments, as did readers of Britain’s NOW Daniel Bettridge of The Guardian even said the “Neighbours‘ faithful golden retriever” was one of the best actors to “tread the Ramsay Street tarmac.” He described Bouncer’s dream as the “infamous episode dedicated to a doggy daydream where he married the saucepot sheepdog from next door. Woof.”
At the time, Bouncer’s fan cards became the most popular out of any cast member. Woof indeed.
