Paul Murray Live: Feb 25

Paul Murray resumes Our Town visits for 2021 with a broadcast from Mudgee, NSW.

Following two successful years on the road, Paul Murray Live resumes its Our Town visits for 2021 with a broadcast from Mudgee, NSW.

Murray will hear from the local community and find out how the rest of Australia can get behind the town and help local wool producers, farmers, wine exporters and other businesses bounce back from the impacts of COVID-19.

Kate Ceberano will also perform.

Paul Murray said: “I am excited to be heading to Mudgee, the first cab off the rank in this bumper season of Our Town. Mudgee is not just visually stunning but plays a big part in our Australian wine, produce and wool industries. There is a lot to discuss on the topic of trade and exports and I can’t wait to get over there and get stuck into it.”

Paul Whittaker, Sky News Chief Executive said: “We are proud to bring Paul Murray Live Our Town to the regions again in 2021 and welcome back our longstanding commercial partners Harvey Norman and Sony Music for the third instalment of this series. There is not a program out there that is as committed to providing a platform for regional Australians to present their local spirit to the rest of the nation, and I don’t know a bigger advocate for regional Australia than Paul Murray.”

The special episode will also take a look at one of the town’s historic properties and testament to the thriving local thoroughbred industry, Gooree Park. A world class thoroughbred horse stud and the largest vineyard in the district, this property is nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of Mudgee. Gooree Park grows a variety of red and white wines, as well as overseeing the breeding and pre-training of the next generation of thoroughbred champions.

Since 2019 the Paul Murray Live Our Town tour has visited more than 14 regional towns across the country, last year visiting Batemans Bay, Darwin, Albury, Gold Coast, Goulburn and Murray Bridge.

9pm Thursday on SKY News.
