Renewed: Batwoman, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Legacies, Roswell New Mexico

A number of US titles which screen on FOX8 have been given early renewals.

US broadcaster The CW has renewed a slew of its existing titles, many of which screen in Australia on FOX8:

Here are the FOX8 titles:

Batwoman Season 3
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 7
The Flash Season 8
Legacies Season 4
Roswell, New Mexico Season 4

It also renewed Nancy Drew, All American, Charmed, Into the Dark and Riverdale. It also ordered five additional episodes for Season 1 of Walker and two additional episodes of Superman & Lois (the latter comes to FOX8 on February 25).

“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season,” said Mark Pedowitz, chairman and CEO of The CW.

“As The CW’s 2020-2021 season kicks into high gear, we are thrilled creatively with the direction of our first new shows out of the gate, Walker and Superman & Lois, that we wanted to order the additional episodes to complete their first seasons, and we are particularly pleased with the huge success of the launch of ‘Walker,’ which debuted as our most watched series premiere in 5 years.”

Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah are yet to be renewed but also yet to debut.

  1. I’m totally over Legends. It used to be a great romp within the Arrowverse but since they ditched Arthur Darvill’s Rip Hunter, it’s been downhill and become a campy caper with no oomph whatsoever. The Flash I’m tiring of but the next season’s alleged return of Michael Keaton as Batman has real potential to be one of the greatest TV moments of the year.

    1. I’m a bit the same, I’ve stuck with all of these shows from the start and they’re all starting to lose me a bit now. I’m not sure how Batwoman got a second series, let alone a third, it’s terrible.
