Returning: Staged

Season 2 of Staged starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant comes to iview on Monday.

Guests across eight episodes include Cate Blanchett, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Palin, Romesh Ranganathan, Jim Parsons, Josh Gad, Ken Jeong and Christoph Waltz!

Michael Sheen and David Tennant, or should that be David Tennant and Michael Sheen, are back. The new series of Staged sees the pair attempt to navigate their ‘new normal’ at home with their increasingly exasperated families whilst simultaneously trying to tackle the world of ‘virtual Hollywood’ and their ever more fragile egos.

Moving forward the network broadcaster decides that they don’t want David Tennant and Michael Sheen in their show as they are “too difficult to work with!” So they go about trying to find their replacements. Adding insult to injury, is the news that the other core members of the original cast – Lucy Eaton, Nina Sosanya, Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg are all set to reprise their roles in the new version… as of course is, Simon Evans as Executive Producer. David and Michael then go about trying to sabotage the selection.
