RocKwiz reunites for live event

Julia Zemiro & Brian Nankervis and the team are back for a Really Really Good Friday in Melbourne.

RocKwiz fans rejoice with news of a new live event in Melbourne, RocKwiz Really Really Good Friday.

Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis, Dugald and the RocKwiz Orkestra will perform at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with COVID-safe distancing.

“To say I have missed performing with my RocKwiz brothers and sisters would be an understatement!” said Julia Zemiro.

“I will be holding back the tears when I step onstage at the magnificent Bowl to a beautiful audience again!

“Get ready to Rock!”

Brian Nankervis said, “Putting on our traditional Easter Rockwiz extravaganza, the Really, Really Good Friday show at The Bowl is very exciting. A tonic for the RocKwiz gang to be back there! This will be Easter show number five for our good friends at the Arts Centre and to be invited to step out from the salubrious and sophisticated Hamer Hall, cross St Kilda Road, through the gardens, up a hill and into the outdoor wonderland that is The Bowl is a huge thrill!

“Flooded with memories of rock concerts we’ve all seen there, but of course inspired by the big show we did there in March 2009, a sweltering night when Melbourne was getting over a hot summer of bushfires, coming together as a big, rowdy family for music, quizzing and pure fun at the Bowl to shake off the sadness of recent events. Sound familiar?”

Tix for April 2 are on sale here.

Here’s a clip from the last time RocKwiz played the Bowl, when Adalita from Magic Dirt performed AC/DC’s Rock n Roll Aint Noise Pollution .

    1. Sorry no. SBS ended RocKwiz a few years ago. The team still have a fanbase and enjoy touring, but COVID has held that back. Most are Melb. based but it will hopefully tour again further down the track.
