SBS screens The Secret Life of Lighthouses in which Rob Bell takes a voyage around Britain and Ireland to reveal the hidden secrets that make offshore lighthouses such extraordinary feats of engineering.
Episode One:
Rob Bell explores the rugged east coast of Scotland to discover how the Bell Rock lighthouse earned its reputation as a wonder of the industrial world. Rob sees why, over 200 years ago, building on a rock that was 11 miles offshore in the North Sea was like landing on the moon in the 1960’s.
Monday, 8 March at 7.35pm on SBS.

This one is only 3 episodes. SBS used to show a series on British Lighthouses that had two seasons, quite a bit, 10 or more years ago. And they had another one on the Stevensons and the NLB.
I have always been a bit of pharofile or light house nut, so I thank you for alerting me to the fact.
