Floods boost news bulletins, breakfast TV.

Interest in NSW flooding saw viewers flock to news bulletins and Breakfast TV yesterday.

Seven News was #1 at 1.09m / 1.02m just ahead of Nine News (1.07m / 1.02m). In other slots ABC News was also up at 728,000 as was 10 News First (423,000 / 285,000) with a political scoop to boot.

There were also rises at Sunrise (289,000), and Today on 250,000 -its best figure in a long time. News Breakfast was 126,000 / 90,000 for ABC.

Meanwhile Married at First Sight easily led at 1.07m, defeating 7:30 (682,000), Australian Story (642,000), Inside Chernobyl (567,000) and The Amazing Race Australia (532,000).

A Four Corners story on Brittany Higgins was also up at 708,000 viewers then Media Watch (645,000), Under Investigation (558,000) and 9-1-1 (277,000).

Nine network won Monday with 32.0%, Seven 25.5%, ABC 18.9%, 10 16.4% and SBS 7.2%.

A Current Affair won its slot for Nine at 804,000 then Hot Seat 480,000 / 291,000.

Home & Away was 581,000 for Seven then The Chase was 571,000 / 362,000. The Latest: Flood Update was 201,000 in Sydney. The Rookie was 174,000.

The Drum pulled 196,000 and The Hunt for Gadaffi’s Billions was 187,000 on ABC.

The Project managed 509,000 / 364,000 for 10. Hughesy had a big problem with just 199,000. Becky Lucas: Live at the Enmore Cafe was only 96,000.

On SBS it was The Secret Life of Lighthouses (199,000), SBS World News 172,000 / 154,000, 24 Hours in Emergency (142,000), The Story of Songs (139,000) and Mastermind (75,000).

NCIS topped multichannels at 171,000.
