Hey David do Foxtel release their numbers for fridays? Curious what the 2nd night of Zach Snyder’s justice league pulled on a Friday night
STV numbers updated on Monday.
Cheers!
I would draw readers’ attention to the demographics, that’s 100% (especially 25-54 and Men) what Seven and Nine would he looking at.
That’s spot on, Sully. Maybe once they sort out the regionals to include Tasmania and sort out the overlaps, they could use an Australia wide system, but as of now the best indication is the 5 city metro and demographics from that.
They really do love the NRL down there in Melbourne Adelaide and Perth ,I wonder if channel 9 will extend or pass the torch for the next TV rights which expires 2022 ,just around the corner basically.
The nrl are looking at spitting the rights next time round with origin, international football, finals and regular season being sold as separate entities. As for channel 9? Their coverage of the game is stale and promotion of the game non existent. The sooner they lose the rights the better.
Then the nrl should insist on non heart land promotion which means less money but better long term returns. Either way mid 30s to mid 20s share shows which code is the most valuable for tv rights
Actually it only shows the value in metro areas. The nrl usually rates higher than the afl on fox and in regional Australia. The next Tv deal will not be lower for the nrl if they split the rights. For a guide have a look at the deal the nfl just signed.
I think the same can be said for AFL sydney / Bris.
Unfortunately for 9 the Broncos are in a similar state as last year – poor
I would substitute Storm for Broncos games for Fri/ Thurs night games
Last nights game Broncos/Titans – had little or no interest for Sydney audience
Fox appear to have best selection of games – ch7 clearly have more say in the selection of games
each week – taking into account the coverage is the same as fox.
Apart from 4 x many watching the afl in Sydney and 7 times as many in Brisbane, I guess you’re right
