Glee stars to ‘reunite’ for Naya Rivera

Former Glee cast members Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Ushkowitz, Alex Newell, Jacob Artist, Becca Tobin and Vanessa Lengies will reunite next month to honour the late Naya Rivera.

They will appear in a virtual edition of the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards on April 8th as they mark 10 years for her character Santana Lopez coming out as lesbian.

Deadline reports the reunion will spotlight Santana’s impact on LGBTQ teens and Latinx LGBTQ representation on television. Not listed are Lea Michelle, nor Chord Overstreet, Dianna Agron, Jayma Mays amongst others.

Demi Lovato, who played Santana’s girlfriend on Glee, will introduce the special tribute.

The event will stream on YouTube (April 9 in Australia).

Naya Rivera died last July following an accidental drowning in California.
