  1. Insight always comes up with great topics of discussion. The favourable child situation didn’t happen in my family, but it definitely did at school, in which some teachers would favour gifted children ahead of the other children in terms of attention, which is partly understandable though still not acceptable in my opinion because of unfair and unequal treatment, but also children that were from teaching staff families, which was definitely unfair and unreasonable. I think the topic could have be expanded to favouritism of children not only in families, but beyond family dynamics in schools too. I suppose the term ‘teacher’s pet’ is common and reflects this, which is regrettable terminology.
