MAFS too strong on Wednesday

Ratings: Outside of MAFS the top entertainment shows were Hard Quiz, Home & Away, The Weekly, The Chase & Amazing Grace.

A Married at First Sight dinner party proved unbeatable at 969,000 metro viewers last night and topped the demos, up on last week.

That landed ahead of Hard Quiz on 629,000, 7:30 (570,000), doubled The Cube (402,000) and tripled Border Security (311,000 / 300,000).

Later The Weekly with Charlie Pickering drew 510,000, Amazing Grace (420,000), The Pembrokeshire Murders (301,000), Aftertaste (274,000) Australia in Colour (224,000) and Bull (201,000 / 175,000) .

Nine network won Wednesday with 33.3% then Seven 24.15, 10 17.6%, ABC 17.2% and SBS 7.8%.

Nine News drew 888,000 / 864,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (681,000) and Hot Seat (386,000 / 247,000).

Seven News won its slot at 889,000 / 878,000 for Seven. Home & Away was 516,000 then The Chase (480,000 / 286,000). Pembrokeshire Murders: Catching the Killer was 220,000.

The Project pulled 407,000 / 255,000 for 10. 10 News First (330,000 / 202,000).

ABC News drew 652,000. The Drum (174,000) and Why Are You Like This (126,000) followed.

On SBS it was Britain’s Ancient Tracks (170,000), Departure (137,000), SBS World News (127,000 / 110,000) and Mastermind (78,000).

Bluey again licked the competition at 193,000 on multichannels.

  1. I didn’t watch Amazing Grace because I don’t like the name. The name is the same as that awful bagpipe song I had to suffer on the radio all the time when I was a kid.

Didn’t think much of ‘Destination’-plot was far fetched and very cliched dialogue as well as miscasting-Christopher Plummer was far too old (he looks and moves like he was at least 80) to be head of the civil aviation body-the body itself is fictional as well as the company that made the also fictional type of aircraft-and don’t get me started on some one surviving being sucked out of an airliner at altitude to land in the open North Atlantic and still be alive after hours in the cold sea.

  3. My PVR goes into overload on Wednesdays atm: Pembroke Murders, Aftertaste and Amazing Grace.

    Don’t watch 7:30 offerings very often. So it’s from 8:30 when my viewing or recording starts.
