AFL faces gathered at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne yesterday for the launch of Amazon Prime’s original doco series Making their Mark.

Joining (L to R) Damien Hardwick (SNR Coach Richmond Football Club), Peggy O’Neal (President, Richmond Football Club), Eddie Betts (Carlton Football Club), Brendon Gale (CEO, Richmond Football Club) were Gillon McLachlan (CEO, AFL), Hushidar Kharas Country Lead, Amazon Prime Video, Gil Marsden (Making Their Mark Director) and Luke Tunnecliffe (Executive Producer) for a Q&A hosted by Sunrise sports presenter Mark Beretta.

They were joined virtually by Nic Naitanui (West Coast Eagles), Stuart Dew (Gold Coast Suns, Senior Coach), Stephen Coniglio (Greater Western Sydney Giants) and Rory Sloane (Adelaide Football Club).

Making Their Mark is a seven-part docu-series that delivers unrivalled behind-the-scenes access into the clubs’ locker rooms, boardrooms, training sessions, medical assessments, players’ homes and shows what it takes to survive the season to make their mark and, in Richmond’s case, to take home the coveted AFL Premiership Cup.

Set against the backdrop of a global pandemic, the seven-part docu-series follows players and executives from six teams – Nic Naitanui (West Coast Eagles Ruckman), Stuart Dew (Gold Coast Suns Senior Coach), Stephen Coniglio (Greater Western Sydney Giants Captain), Eddie Betts (Carlton Football Club forward), Rory Sloane, (Adelaide Football Club Captain), and the Senior Leadership of the Richmond Football Club (Peggy O’Neal, Brendon Gale and Damien Hardwick) – as they pursue the ultimate goal of an AFL Grand Final victory, in a season like no other.

Friday March 12 on Amazon Prime.
