Nine confirms crime drama on Melissa Caddick

Nine has quickly claimed high-profile Sydney case for its drama slate.

Nine has confirmed it has greenlit a drama project based around Sydney businesswoman Melissa Caddick.

Ms Caddick had been missing since November 12, when she left her Dover Heights home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, telling her husband she was going for an early morning run. Her “badly decomposed foot” and sneaker were found on Bournda Beach last Sunday. More human remains discovered at Mollymook Beach on Friday are being forensically tested. Caddick went missing in November after ASIC raided her Sydney home.

Nine’s head of drama, Andy Ryan, told The Australian, “The mystery of Melissa Caddick’s disappearance and the missing millions has all the elements of a gripping crime thriller, as well as a moving personal tragedy,” he said.

The project is a joint Nine / Stan effort. A production company has not been disclosed.
