Renewed: The Simpsons

The Simpsons been renewed for Seasons 33 and 34.

The Simpsons been renewed for Seasons 33 and 34 which will take it to a total of 757 episodes total.

The Simpsons is already the longest-running primetime scripted show in US history, having surpassed Gunsmoke during its 29th season.

“Everyone at The Simpsons is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time,” creator Matt Groening said.

“Original, brilliant, outrageously funny, prophetic…there aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe this genius comedy which continues to entertain viewers of all ages,” added Dana Walden, chairman of entertainment at Walt Disney Television, in a statement.

The Simpsons airs in Australia on 7mate.

  1. To quote Homer “Woo hoo!” David, Simpsons episodes are also shown on 7 Flix. If DVDs and episode guide books could resume I’d be very happy as I’m a collector.
