The Simpsons been renewed for Seasons 33 and 34 which will take it to a total of 757 episodes total.
The Simpsons is already the longest-running primetime scripted show in US history, having surpassed Gunsmoke during its 29th season.
“Everyone at The Simpsons is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time,” creator Matt Groening said.
“Original, brilliant, outrageously funny, prophetic…there aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe this genius comedy which continues to entertain viewers of all ages,” added Dana Walden, chairman of entertainment at Walt Disney Television, in a statement.
The Simpsons airs in Australia on 7mate.

Ironic given that The Simpsons has just aired its lowest rated episode of all time this week.
To quote Homer “Woo hoo!” David, Simpsons episodes are also shown on 7 Flix. If DVDs and episode guide books could resume I’d be very happy as I’m a collector.
This show is great until you watch older episodes when it was in its prime. Now it’s just sad with many episodes absolute stinkers
It’s lost its way needs to be put out of its misery, no longer funny and painful to watch…
Have you just tried not watching it? that usually helps.
Yeah, Best Show Ever in History.!!!!
Though The Simpsons airs in Australia on 7mate & on FOX8..
Original, brilliant, outrageously funny, prophetic are positive adjectives to describe the first 10 seasons. Quite the opposite for the following seasons.
Who knows what adventures they’ll have between now and when the show becomes unprofitable…
Excellent !
This was always bound to happen, especially with the Disney+ deal in place.
