Kardashians, Housewives & Below Deck now easily found via a big screen app.

NBCUniversal International has announced that reality streaming platform hayu is now available through Samsung Smart TVs via a dedicated app.

Hayu features reality shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians,  The Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck.

Hass Mahdi, Director of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia said “Aussies are huge fans of reality TV and Samsung is thrilled to integrate hayu to its constantly evolving Smart TV platform.

“We know the way we’re enjoying content is continuously changing and Samsung is committed to offering new options and experiences to ensure you can always find your favourite programs through the easy to use Smart TV interface.”

“2021 has already seen hayu – the all reality streaming service from NBCUniversal International – expand its footprint into 11 new markets across Europe,” said Hendrik McDermott, Managing Director, hayu. “Our partnership with Samsung extends our distribution, and deepens our reach within hayu territories by making the service even more accessible. Through Samsung’s industry-leading range of smart TVs, reality fans can enjoy a first-class lean back viewing experience of the best reality TV.”

Targeting the broad base of viewers who are fans of the reality genre, hayu offers over 8,000 episodes* of top reality TV content. The service offers extensive choice, with a wide variety of unscripted sub-genres in English language including: Home and Design, Dating, Cooking, Crime, and Fashion. hayu’s breadth of content uniquely super-serves reality fans. And subscribers don’t have to worry about spoilers as the vast majority of U.S. shows are available on hayu the same day as their U.S. broadcast.

  1. Hayu need to sort out their AppleTV app before working on new apps. It’s the worst of all the streaming apps to use, constantly drops the stream and doesn’t show last episode watched.

  2. Waiting for a version of a streaming service for your TV leaves you at the mercy of so many different companies – just grab an Android or Apple TV box and you’re always at the top of the queue with an updated app….even for obscure streaming providers.

    1. Older Panasonic TV’s are unlikely to get updates, Samsung also don’t have a good reputation with updates either, especially on older models.
      The subject of operating system updates has received a lot of forum comments in recent months, especially for some older TV’s.

  4. David, has there been any announcement from NBC/Universal regarding a starting date for their streaming service, Peacock in Oz please?
