Seven, Simon Reeve settle legal dispute

Network and long standing presenter settle dispute over unpaid entitlements.

Former Seven presenter Simon Reeve and Seven have reportedly settled a legal dispute over unpaid entitlements.

Reeve parted company with Seven in June 2020 after some 35 years with the network, across various points.

Reeve, who hosted Weekend Sunrise, Million Dollar Minute and It’s Academic, sued Seven in September claiming monies due for annual leave and redundancy, interest and costs.

The case was ordered into mediation, which took place in late February, and was formally closed at court last week.

The Federal Court on Thursday dismissed the matter with the consent of both parties and made no order as to costs. Details of a settlement are not known.

Seven also countersued Reeve in October and that matter remained open as of yesterday.
