Ratings: Crown in Crisis special pairs well with MAFS, while Ultimate Tag continues to struggle for Seven.

Tuesday night viewing included a lot of discussion around that Harry & Meghan interview, including on news bulletins, ACA, The Project and a Today-style Crown in Crisis special, while 10 even replayed the special all over again.
News bulletins aside, was the Crown in Crisis that drew the big crowd at drew 632,000 viewers, even upstaging 10’s replay which aired 30 minutes later, averaging just 131,000.
Married at First Sight again won its slot at a cool 945,000 viewers, ahead of 7:30 (575,000), Foreign Correspondent (524,000), The Amazing Race Australia (480,000), Ultimate Tag (277,000) and Great Australian Railway Journeys (234,000).
Crown in Crisis also defeated Catalyst (386,000), NCIS (248,000) and The Good Doctor (238,000).
Nine network won Tuesday with 33.6% then Seven 23.1%, 10 19.1%, ABC 17.0% and SBS 7.2%.
Nine News drew 908,000 / 907,000 for Nine. A Current Affair won its slot at 757,000 then Hot Seat (403,000 / 242,000) and Botched (247,000).
Seven News was #1 at 952,000 / 924,000 for Seven. Home & Away was 516,000 then The Chase (499,000 / 315,000). The Resident was 140,000.
The Project pulled 451,000 / 310,000 for 10. 10 News First was 335,000 / 222,000. A replay of the Oprah interview drew just 131,000.
ABC News (682,000) was best for ABC. The Truth About Getting Fit at Home (212,000) and The Drum (159,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (163,000 / 118,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (144,000), Michael Portillo’s Abandoned Britain (73,000) and Mastermind (71,000).
Bluey topped multichannels at 212,000.

Today: 193,000
News Breakfast: 121,000 / 56,000

Now that tag has failed maybe the septic channel will get hopscotch or brandy or some other primary school game the brain dead audience will lap up anything

So disappointing to see Nine rewarded for what was nothing more than a shameless grab at a piece of 10’s pie. Even its title was a brash and embarrassing attempt at cashing in on Netflix’s success with The Crown. Gross.
Goodluck to them. If they can shamelessly create a show from nothing that makes the top 10 well that says more about their audience than the network.
Agreed. 10 don’t own the royals. They had the doco thanks to cbs.
Seven’s Tentpole Strategy not working so far with Holey Moley and Ultimate Tag bombing in ratings
Nice work Nine on that last minute special news bulletin. It would have gotten more viewers if it was scheduled a few days ago. Nine’s momentum is strong due to MAFS.
While Seven’s Tag show is a disaster.
Most of Seven’s executive producers were laid off over the past couple of years. Maybe Seven is seeing their worth now??
The amazing race is such a good show, and awesome to see the incredible country we live in showcased. Very disappointing the number of viewers giving this a chance. I do acknowledge that the number of non-elimination rounds is a bit off putting.
Instead of Ultimate Tag why cant Seven bring back Gladiators? Ultimate Tag seems similar to that. How many of us would watch that now, im sure alot would.
The problem is that it would be 6 hours a week (at least).
Well Ultimate Dag just crept in but 3 x 90 plus minute shows next week ,do we know how many episodes there are in this series please David ☺️

I watched the first 25minutes of the crown in crisis on nine and it was dreadful, felt amateurish at best had to turn it off wasn’t a vibe at all just an obvious last minute ratings grab
Tremendously satisfying to see 10’s cunning plan backfired on them. Ironically, it wouldn’t surprise me if 10 made more ad revenue from the flop of a replay than the shockingly successful premiere.
How is replaying a top rating show a cunning plan? It was Nine that wanted a piece of 10 pie, and it worked.
What was “cunning”? 10’s repeat didn’t start until after 9:30. Nine’s ‘Today at Night’ used much of the interview. Paid or just lifted?
Seven needs a dramatic ratings lift next week. Funny cat videos would rate much higher than Ultimate Tag.
Totally agreed. Seven simply can’t have their striped show rating less than 300k against regularly scheduled programming. You could put Mondays figure down to the 10 special, but there are no excuses for last night.
