Under Investigation takes Nine to winning week

Ratings: MAFS, Seven News, Nine News, Under Investigation, ABC News were the week's best performers.

Nine won another ratings week thanks to Married at First Sight and Nine News, but it also enjoyed a particularly strong debut by new current affairs show Under Investigation.

Seven News won the week in news while Seven’s entertainment slate continued to struggle.

Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras saw SBS lift to a 13.5% share on Saturday -well up on 9.6% the previous week.

Nine won the demos 16 – 39 and 25 – 54.

Nine led on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday. Seven won Thursday & Saturday. ABC bettered 10 on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

Nine won all cities except Perth, retained by Seven.

Best brands last week were:

Nine: Married at First Sight (Sun: 1.02m), Nine News (845,000), Under Investigation (719,000) and 60 Minutes (660,000).

Seven: Seven News (875,000), Home & Away (487,000), The Chase (452,000) and Holey Moley (Sun: 426,000).

ABC: ABC News (Sun: 689,000), Australian Story (652,000), Death in Paradise (610,000) and 7:30 (589,000).

10: Gogglebox (596,000), The Amazing Race Australia (Mon: 495,000), Territory Cops (410,000) and The Cube (350,000).

SBS: Great Australian Railway Journeys (237,000), Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras (Part I: 217,000), Searching for Cleopatra (185,000) and Britain’s Most Historic Towns (178,000).
