Tomorrow marks 50 years since Young Talent Time first aired on Australian television.

Here’s one young 18 year old who (spoiler alert) won the show singing John Farnham’s version of “Help.” Even then it was clear her voice was A+.

Silvana Paladino of course would go on to an international career as Silvie Paladino.

She is one of many who got their start on the show co-created by Johnny Young. Enjoy!

  1. I did a double take then. I thought for a split second Sue Ellen Ewing from Dallas had stepped onto the set of YTT. Sylvie has a great voice.
