The cast of Friends will finally be reunited, more than a year after it was due.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry will reunite on a Warner Bros. soundstage this week, according to Variety. All six will pocket squillions just for turning up….
The cast were originally due to reunite in late February 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic halted all film and TV production and producers determined to hold until a studio audience could attend.
The special is being filmed for HBO Max, which normally means it is destined for Foxtel / Binge in Australia, but when last enquired there were no international rights secured.

Well I’m excited to see this. I also really enjoyed the recent Fresh Prince reunion. Glad to hear they’re finally able to start filming it.
What’s the point ? It’s not new episodes like others think it’s just a bunch of fifty year olds sitting around and talking about the good old days . They only did this for the money.
I just don’t see the point of this…
I agree. There is a perception out their in the wider community, especially online, viewers are about to watch a reunion, thanks in part how the media have presented it. Well it is a reunion, kind of. Six actors will sit down and discuss what a wonderful time they had while collecting their royalty cheques from Netflix, 10 Peach and others. I do hope Gunther makes an appearance, serving coffee.
To make even more money out of a successful show/franchise? Why do any shows do reunions many years later? They aren’t the first & I doubt will be the last.
