The funeral for HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh will take place at 12am Sunday morning (tonight) AEST.

Nine:

Nine’s coverage will begin at 10pm AEST Saturday night, live in all states. It will be preceded by the FTA premiere of the Downton Abbey movie at 7:30pm, a good fit (Adelaide has The Lady in the Van). Funeral coverage from 10pm, Funeral from 11pm and repeated 5am.

Join 7NEWS on Saturday as the world farewells Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, with special live coverage of the ceremonial royal funeral to begin from 5.00pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus.
7NEWS Europe Bureau Chief Hugh Whitfeld will lead coverage from outside St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the Queen and members of the Royal family will attend to pay their final respects. He’ll be joined by acclaimed BBC broadcaster and royal expert, Angela Rippon CBE, and Sunrise’s royal editor, Rob Jobson.
Following 7NEWS at 6.00, special coverage will recommence from 9.30pm AEST (check local guides).
Immediately following Weekend Sunrise on Sunday, Prince Philip’s funeral service will be replayed, commercial free, from 10am on 7TWO.

  1. Prince Philip’s funeral is shown on way too many channels in my opinion. What about SBS? Will 7, 9 and 10 be having adverts during the service? My condolences to the Queen, Charles and family.

    1. Agreed ,SBS is going solo and has regular programming ,not to mention you can no doubt stream live online Youtube etc ,I’ll watch some old X files on VICELAND and watch from 11pm until my eyes get droopy and sleepy 😴

    2. It’s not fair Adelaide viewers miss out on the movie of Downton Abbey. I’m surprised Nine are showing it as wasn’t Downton Abbey a Channel 7 program?
