William Petersen, Jorja Fox have joined CSI: Vegas, a sequel series to hit procedural CSI.
They will reprise the roles of Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, respectively.
Variety reports the series opens a brand new chapter in Las Vegas, the city where it all began. Facing an existential threat that could bring down the Crime Lab, a brilliant new team of forensic investigators must welcome back old friends and deploy new techniques to preserve and serve justice in Sin City.
The new series will also star Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.
CSIÂ was a long-running hit for CBS, and Nine in Australia, from 2000 to 2015.
The original cast consisted of Petersen, Fox, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Gary Dourdan, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, and Eric Szmanda. Laurence Fishburne and Ted Danson starred in later seasons.

No Marg Helgenberger or George Eads? Sad.
Haven’t seen Matt Lauria for a decade, though apparently he did a guest spot on CSI in the meantime.
Pertinax, if you like Matt Lauria I recommend you watch “Parenthood”. He played Ryan York infrequently from 2012-2015 (Seasons 4-6).
They are doing repeats of this show on digital channels, welcome back.
Yes, but what colour filter will the show use?
Happy to see William Petersen back but was never a fan of Jorja Fox or her character.
