ABC will be covering the Federal Budget next Tuesday night Live from Canberra at 7:30pm.
From 8pm Leigh Sales presents Budget 2021: ABC News Special featuring first television interviews with Treasurer Josh Frydenberg and Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers. She will be joined by David Speers, ABC’s Political Editor Andrew Probyn and 7.30’s Chief Political Correspondent Laura Tingle. Special guests include Chris Richardson, Nicki Hutley. Gabriela D’Souza, Annabel Crabb and Ian Verrender.
At 9pm is Reaction & Analysis with David Speers looking at what’s in the Budget for aged care, tourism and hospitality, joined by Jeremy Fernandez from Perth, as he speaks to voters about the Budget’s key measures.
From 10pm Kathryn Robinson hosts The Business: Budget Special, joined by Finance Minister Simon Birmingham. Special guests include Danielle Wood from the Grattan Institute and former Rudd adviser Andrew Charlton, as well as Zip Co chair Diane Smith-Gander and gender equality expert Libby Lyons. Plus, reaction from the manufacturing sector.
The ABC will also broadcast Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese’s Budget Reply speech at 7:30pm on Thursday 13 May.
