MTV will premiere new six part unscripted series From Cradle To Stage this Sunday.
The series from Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and his mother, Virgina Hanlon Grohl is described as “a backstage pass to explore the innately personal and remarkable bond between mother and musician.”
Based on Virginia’s critically acclaimed book, From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars, the series is a dynamic exploration of the special and sometimes complicated relationship between successful musicians and their mothers.
Each episode, Dave and Virginia go on the road to explore the stories of a famous performer and their mother as they look back on their journey from childhood to stardom. Sharing home movies, family photos and stories from the road, the series takes a deeply personal look at the never before seen moments from some of the worlds most iconic musicians.
The list of featured artists includes, Pharrell Williams, Miranda Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Geddy Lee of Rush.
Sunday, 9 May at 3pm on MTV Classic.
