Below Deck Down Under confirmed

Hit reality series filming in the Whitsundays sets sail for NBCU streamer Peacock.

Below Deck Down Under has now been confirmed as a spin-off by NBC.

As first tipped by TV Tonight, filming was due to begin in the Whitsundays at the end of April.

Streaming on NBCU’s Peacock, the series promises to showcase the “upstairs / downstairs of a real working super-yacht”.

“The usual five-star service will be even more difficult for these adventurous yachties who will have access to a glamorous lifestyle and exotic perks that few people will ever experience,” according to a press release.

“You have people coming in for a week, so there’s always new characters that come in, in terms of the guests,” Rod Aissa, EVP Unscripted, Documentary & Lifestyle, recently told Deadline. “You have a crew that is getting to know each other, and relationships are evolving over the course of the season. You have these drop-dead gorgeous backdrops — you just want to be there, and you want to be on the boat, and you want it to be served by these great people that are running the boat.”

The series is produced by 51 Minds with Nadine Rajabi, Mark Cronin, Courtland Cox, Cristina Lopez, Tania Hamidi, Christian Sarabia and Zachary Klein as exec producers.

Australian broadcast details are yet to be confirmed.

  1. I have a feeling this will only be available on hayu and then 9Now as Below Deck Sailing Yacht falls under the same company and is not on Foxtel. If that makes sense.
