Travel Guides & Hard Quiz tie on Wednesday

Ratings: Mad as Hell returns strong for ABC. Nine wins Wednesday.

In the entertainment stakes, Travel Guides and Hard Quiz both tied on 672,000 metro viewers last night.

They were both ahead of 7:30 (623,000), MasterChef Australia (561,000) and Big Brother (558,000).

Later Mad as Hell returned to 572,000 for ABC then Doctor Doctor (390,000) and You Can’t Ask That (383,000).

Nine network just won Wednesday with 27.6%, then Seven 27.2%, 10 18.5%, ABC 18.3% and SBS 8.3%.

Nine News (1.04m / 953,000) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (701,000) and Hot Seat (516,000 / 321,000). Footy Classified was 110,000 in 4 cities (including on 9GEM). Kings Cross ER was 100,000 in 2 cities.

Seven News was #1 at 1.07m / 1.02m for Seven. Home & Away was 580,000 then The Chase (567,000 / 335,000). Movie: The Hangover II was 246,000.

The Project drew 428,000 /289,000 for 10. 10 News First was 344,000 / 217,000. Bull was 252,000 / 185,000.

ABC News pulled 676,000 for ABC. QI was 245,000 then The Drum (179,000) and The Set (77,000).

On SBS it was Jack the Ripper: The Case Reopened (189,000), SBS World News (181,000 / 132,000), History of Britain (169,000), Bloodlands (118,000) and Mastermind (81,000).

NCIS led multichannels at 159,000.
