Vigil: trailer

UK submarine drama comes from the makers of Line of Duty, Bodyguard & Pembrokeshire Murders.

It’s not often TV serves up a submarine drama, but UK drama Vigil has dropped its first trailer.

The 6 part series, which stars Suranne Jones (Doctor Foster, Gentleman Jack), as two seemingly disparate events – the disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death aboard a Trident nuclear submarine – bring the police into direct conflict with the navy and British security services.

The series from World Productions (Line of Duty, Bodyguard, The Pembrokeshire Murders) is written and created by Tom Edge (Strike, The Crown, Judy) and also features Rose Leslie, Shaun Evans, Martin Compston and Paterson Joseph.

It will screen on both Foxtel / Binge in 2021, while SBS has also picked up Free to Air rights which will follow sometime later.

  1. This was also dropped in the UK last night after Line Of Duty (yes no spoilers) so I will suspect that Foxtel will screen it the same day or just after each episode is screen in the UK.
