A Current Affair: June 21

Former test cricketer Stuart MacGill speaks to ACA about an alleged kidnapping ordeal.

A Current Affair Crime Editor Simon Bouda tonight sits down with former test cricketer and Foxtel lifestyle presenter Stuart MacGill, who speaks about an alleged kidnapping ordeal two months after news headlines.

MacGill was a star on the field for Australia during his successful international cricket career, earning more than 200 test wickets throughout the 90’s and 00’s.

But in April this year, MacGill was a victim of an alleged kidnapping near his home in Sydney’s north shore, by four men who proceeded to hold him at gunpoint and beat him in an extortion attempt in which he feared for his life.

He was eventually released, and after a brief delay, reported the crime to the police and the four men were arrested.

Tonight, the notoriously private MacGill reveals to Simon in a raw and compelling interview the impact the incident has had on him, both mentally and physically.
