UK financial thriller Devils, starring Alessandro Borghi (Suburra, Lucky, Naples in Veils) & Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) will screen on BBC First in late July.

This has already been available on Demand and Binge.

Massimo Ruggeri (Alessandro Borghi) is the Head of Trading at one of the most important investment banks in the world, whose success has all but guaranteed his promotion to vice-CEO. However, a scandal involving his wife puts a brake on Massimo’s ambitions, leading his America CEO and mentor, Dominic Morgan (Patrick Dempsey), to withdraw his support Massimo takes this rejection hard, and things go from bad to worse when his rival and apparent successor suddenly dies, and Massimo becomes the prime suspect. Sensing that Dominic is hiding something, Massimo sets about clearing his name and finding out the truth behind the vast political game plan he has inadvertently been caught up in.

Wednesdays at 8.30pm from July 28 on BBC First.

  1. Those who liked Netflix’s Suburra will be curious about Alessandro Borghi in his English speaking role.
    Devils is more like ‘Bad Banks’ (seen on SBS on Demand) than ‘Billions’ (Stan) and Dempsey is obviously enjoying his greed is good role.
    There may be a season 2 available in 2022 but no release date has been confirmed.
