Airdate: Strike

Britain's Tom Burke returns as a war veteran turned private detective on FOX Showcase.

UK crime series Strike screens next week as C.B Strike: Lethal White on FOX Showcase.

This is the latest season starring Tom Burke as a war veteran turned private detective. These 4 episodes screened internationally last August.

Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott are at odds following Robin’s wedding to Matthew, but there is no time to mull over the new distance within their professional relationship as a frightening visit from a potential client puts a new case on the table – and Robin and Strike set to work, looking into reports of a strangled child.

With the detective agency thriving, the duo are also recruited to investigate the blackmail of a government minister, and Robin is tasked with going undercover in the House of Commons.

8:30pm Monday on FOX Showcase

  1. I will confess that I watched the first 3 seasons mainly because the series was based on the J.K. Rowling Cormoran Strike novels written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

    1. I watched it because I had read The Cuckoo’s Calling. The TV show is faithful to the novels, and I like it better, Burke and Grainger are both excellent. So Foxtel were just holding on to it until the Northern Hemisphere’s seasons wound up. Given that I only have Pennyworth (S2 of which has been disappointing) and some old Magnum P.I. episodes recording next week, it should work out well.
