2021 UK miniseries Time, by writer Jimmy McGovern, screens on BBC First in early July.

Described as a powerful depiction of prison life, the 3 part series stars Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.

It premieres in the UK this weekend.

Former teacher Mark Cobden is responsible for the death of an innocent man. Tortured by visions of his victim, he welcomes his four-year sentence as penance. Eric McNally is a dedicated prison officer, doing his best to protect those in his charge. But when a dangerous convict threatens to hurt someone Eric loves, he is faced with an impossible choice. Unflinching but ultimately hopeful, Time is a raw study of punishment and penitence.

Sundays at 8.30pm from July 11 on BBC First.

  1. Great news. Stumbled across this trailer last week and was wondering when it would appear on our screens.

    In my opinion, Graham & Bean could both be in the top 5 actors in the world right now.
