Gossip Girl: trailer

Kristen Bell returns to narrate the lives of a new group of teenagers in rebooted series on Binge.

Well this Gossip Girl trailer is an improvement on the first teaser which left me pretty cold.

The rebooted series on Binge sees Kristen Bell, who was the voice of the anonymous blogger in the original series, return to narrate the lives of a new group of teenagers chasing influence and status through a loyal social following.

Starring Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith, the trailer finds the new group of privileged kids on the steps of The Met.

Gossip Girl is produced by Fake Empire and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios. The series is written, executive produced and developed by Joshua Safran of Random Acts. Executive producers also include Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire, and Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment. Lis Rowinski of Fake Empire serves as co-executive producer. Karena Evans directs two episodes and original costume designer Eric Daman rejoins the series.

Thursday July 8 on Binge (Foxtel is yet to confirm a premiere).

  1. I missed the first GG but it’s also worth noting how diverse this cast is compared to the complete whitewashing of the original series. Queer actors are playing queer characters which always adds authenticity and there’s even a transgender actress in Zion Moreno. I’m keen for this series to explore some deeper themes all through the lends of a glossy, trashy exterior. I’m down!!
