US comedy Girls5eva has been renewed for a second season by Peacock.
The Tina Fey-produced comedy stars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell and Busy Philipps as a reunited girl group.

When a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90’s gets sampled by a young rapper, its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, ageing parents, and shoulder pain, but can‘t they also be Girls5eva?
Meredith Scardino (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) serves as creator and executive producer for the series. Jeff Richmond, Tina Fey (30 Rock), Robert Carlock, David Miner, Eric Gurian also serve as executive producers. Girls5eva is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

I found this show lost its way after episode 1… How this got another season has got me baffled.
Excellent, really enjoyed season 1
Great news for me too. I really enjoyed it. Although I’ve been unable to get “The Splingee” out of my head ever since I watched it…
Well that’s a surprise. I binged it all in one sitting and found it mildly watchable but mostly underwhelming. Can’t see how they can infuse excitement into the premise for S2.
Great news! This is one of the best new shows I’ve watched this year. The cast is amazing!
