Test of Patience
Australians are enduring tough times. COVID 19-has roared across the country again, this time with delta force. While the vaccine rollout has continued to lurch from one bungle to the next, more than half the population has been living in lockdown. It’s not surprising that many people are not only confused but also starting to question if the country will ever emerge from this crisis. Even more frustrating is the never-ending bickering of state and federal politicians, who seem mostly interested in blaming each other for everything that’s gone wrong. But on 60 Minutes, Tom Steinfort reports there is cause for hope. He meets some of Australia’s finest scientists, medicos and business leaders, who are focused on finding solutions and able to explain a clear path out of the mess.

Swindle of the Century?
Calling someone a con artist often implies a degree of expertise, even admiration, for what is in fact despicable crime. It’s not art, it’s theft, and it takes a particularly heartless and greedy person to do it. Sydney’s Melissa Caddick was a perfect example. She took more than $25 million from her own family and friends, who lost everything. She’s now presumed dead, so discovering why she acted so shamefully will remain unknown forever. Caddick though is starting to look like a cheap pretender compared to Chris Marco. Over 20 years he has (allegedly) taken a quarter of a billion dollars from investors, and now most of their money is missing. But Marco is very much alive, and on 60 Minutes, Liam Bartlett tracks him down to find out where the millions all went.
