Hot tip: Hunted headed to 10

Casting is underway for new reality contest produced by Endemol Shine Australia.

TV Tonight understands upcoming reality contest Hunted is bound for 10.

Endemol Shine Australia is currently casting for contestants who will go on the run, avoiding a team of Hunters composed of former and serving police, intelligence personnel, and on-foot teams.

The series has had 5 seasons in the UK (plus 3 celebrity editions) with adaptations in the USA, Spain, Denmark, Russia, the Netherlands, France, and Italy.

With a lockdown in Sydney impacting on production and the time required, the show would be a likely starter for 2022.

A 10 spokesperson indicated the network had no news to share.

  1. This is one of my favourite UK reality shows of recent years. Yes, you have to accept that it exists in a world of reality TV where certain information has to be created by producers to replicate the powers police would have (CCTV, ANPR for example), and there are certain rules the show doesn’t mention which are included to add to the drama, such as having to withdraw money from an ATM and arrange a visit with a family member for example. But all these make it a fantastic format and the finale are amongst the best in reality TV.

Sadly as usual what is usually a 5-6 episode series of onr hour eps in the UK will likely become at least 12 x 90 min episodes in Australia. I guess they’ll also have to restrict how far people can run as wellconsidering the size of Australia too is way bigger than the UK mainland.

  2. I agree with you. When I submitted my application, it said filming dates were for three weeks from around October 25-November 17, 2021. Has to be a mid-2022 show. Maybe Hunted will replace The Amazing Race Australia 2022 on 10?
