More speculation on Omarosa for Big Brother VIP

As tipped, further rumours abound on former Apprentice star & senior advisor to President Trump.

There are now more media reports on Omarosa Manigault Newman set to appear on Big Brother VIP.

TV Tonight first tipped the name to readers two weeks ago.

People magazine now reports the former Apprentice (US) star and senior advisor to President Trump is indeed in the mix.

An insider suggests “Omarosa and Caitlyn are expected to go head-to-head, especially about LGBTQ+ issues.”

It suggests Omarosa is making $AU450,000 while Caitlyn is being paid $AU500,000.

Other cast are rumoured to include Thomas Markle Jr., and according to Daily Mail, Ellie Gonsalves and Jessika Power. But not Katie Hopkins…

Various other rumours surround Matt Shirvington,  James Tobin, Josh Thomas, Charli Robinson, Lincoln Younes and Ash Pollard.

Filming is about to commence at Olympic Park in Sydney.

Seven is yet to confirm its VIP cast.

  1. Why are these useless people being allowed to come in to the country when we have so many Aussies stranded overseas….makes me very angry.

    1. Yes, as jrgibson1 said, allowing these people into the country made absolutely no difference to the number of Australians allowed home. People need to check their facts before they spout untruths.

  2. Is who ever at seven casting this okay all 4 people rumoured so far are highly political people did they won’t it just to be fights about political views

    1. I just don’t get the casting on this when the rebooted version has edited out virtually all personal discussion – they’re casting for the wrong show if they’re desperate for conflict.

In addition it’s pre-recorded nature almost certainly means those involved will do whatever they can to ensure any potentially damaging behaviour doesn’t make it to air.

  3. “Omarosa and Caitlyn are expected to go head-to-head, especially about LGBTQ+ issues.” I think Caitlyn Jenner is actually pretty conservative.

    1. Also, it seems like half the cast is Q&A and the other half is Dancing With the Stars, which is a bit funny. I can’t wait to hear all the political hot takes from James Tobin and and Ash Pollard!

  4. It suggests Omarosa is making $AU450,000 while Caitlyn is being paid $AU500,000.

So these nobodies are being paid more than the winner gets in regular Big Brother? Is there a prize? I doubt it would be more than those amounts.

And what will this show be? I can’t see these people doing the challenges that are in regular Big Brother.

    1. I’m sorry, but what makes you think these are “nobodies” just because (I assume) you haven’t heard of them?

Both of these people are very well known — One recently appeared on The Masked Singer US and one appeared in something called The White House. Americans, true but maybe you’re better off aiming your “nobodies” comment at someone like Ash or Lincoln.

  5. So will this whole series be in the can before It’s on air? I doubt they’d be keeping people around for a live finale, and if not, what is the unique selling point of this show versus something like I’m a Celeb?

I just can’t see this offering anything new. It feels tired before it even starts!

Sad, because this type of thing needs to be live to resonate.

  6. Wow, With the high profile exit and visa cancellation of some UK ‘celebrity’ and now a US political advisor. I was being to feel out of touch with proposed celebrities as the father of a non princess and the others in that sentence are completely unknown to me, but at least I recognise the Australian names. Strange the Celebrity big Brother Australia is featuring a host of international ‘celebrities’

    1. Apologies, I have discovered that Ellie and Jessica are Australian’s. I was just unfamiliar with them. In the same sentence as Thomas I incorrectly assumed they were international like Caitlyn and Omarosa.

  7. Ellie Gonsalves, Jessika Power, and Charli Robinson, another three names I have never heard of and had to Google in addition to Omarosa and TM Jr two weeks ago. Who is Seven’s target audience for this series?
