Renewed: Loki

Good news for Loki fans revealed during finale's closing credits.

Marvel-produced Loki has been renewed for a second season on Disney+.

The announcement was cleverly revealed during the closing credits of the Season 1 finale yesterday, with the a case file branded with the stamp: “Loki will return in season 2.”

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Loki is set in a Marvel Cinematic Universe adjacent world, in which the God of Mischief is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) after absconding with the Tesseract.

Hiddleston is joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Richard E. Grant plus Jonathan Majors.

  1. Whilst I personally thought it was the weakest of the three Marvel D+ shows so far (that by no means says I disliked it, they’ve all been top notch imo)… it was the one show that actually knocked its last episode out of the park. Anyone with even just a passing interest in anything MCU related will appreciate the absolute magnitude of what transpired in that finale. It will have repercussions for every character and story in the MCU from here on out. It was a big finish!

  2. You have to be a dedicated Marvel movies fan to know to stay around during the closing credits. The season 1 finale has set up this series for an infinite number of story twists in season 2.
