Woohoo! 10 has now confirmed a premiere date for Australian Survivor, kicking off in just over 2 week’s time.
That will surely pit it against Seven’s Olympics from July 23 onwards.
The Brains v Brawns season is filmed in Cloncurry, Queensland.
What does it take to win the world’s toughest game? Brains or Brawn? You’d better believe the score is going to be well and truly settled when the unmissable Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn premieres on Sunday, 18 July at 7.30pm, only on 10 and 10 Play On Demand.
When an Artist, a Marine Scientist and a Real Estate Agent are pitted against a Personal Trainer, a Big Wave Surfer and a Health Coach, anything can happen.
Sunday, 18 July at 7.30pm on 10.

Brains v brawn is good for initial promo…. But what happens when tribes merge mid season due to uneven eliminations.
I think Survivor will do quite well against the Olympics. Of course, the Olympics are a different beast, but 10 does quite well providing entertainment as an alternative to sport – for example, I’m A Celebrity against the tennis and cricket in January.
Thanks David, great news – for some reason I wasn’t expecting this till late Q3 or even Q4!
Surprised they are putting against the Olympics. Hoping that it keeps up in the ratings and demos and – worst case – if it doesn’t, they don’t base any decisions off of it!
Agree with your comment also David about the water scenery!
Thanks David I will watch it like i did with BB record the weeks episodes and binge watch on Friday night
This season looks bloody awesome! I reckon this’ll be the best season yet!
‘Mad Max’ trailer looks good, I hope the lack of an ocean doesn’t leave it flat, which is how I have found US seasons beside rivers and lakes. Crashing waves a great visual metaphor and escapism. Fingers crossed.
US version filmed in Kenya, Gabon, Australian rainforest, western China, Brazillian highlands, etc. And they were amazing!
I just wish 10 would promote more than the same 3 or 4 contestants. Same for every reality show on every channel. Imagine have 5 or 6 promos that feature every contestant on rotation instead of just 1 that pops up every ad break.
Just a thought
A lot of networks take the ‘drip-feed’ approach these days, which I’m not a big fan of. I’ve even seen it for Carols! The thinking is that by dropping names over a long period they can have a longer tail with promotion. I tend to wait until I have a bunch before annoying readers with daily drops.
