The Voice: promo

Seven offers a first glimpse of their Blind Auditions, due after the Olympics.

Seven is teasing its upcoming season of The Voice with a first glimpse of the Blind Auditions.

By the looks of this promo Mick Harrington turns 4 chairs and makes a proposal to his partner on stage…

The series is hosted by Sonia Kruger with coaches Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy is due post-Olympics.

Mick “The Mower Man” Harrington is a family man from country Victoria who works hard day in, day out to provide for his children and beautiful partner Bec.

As the owner of a lawn mowing and gardening business, The Voice has the potential to change the rest of Mick’s life.

Inspired to show his girls that there’s no limit to what you can achieve, Mick’s rendition of the classic Somewhere Over The Rainbow brings the stage to a standstill.

A standing ovation from all four superstar coaches – Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy – brings Mick’s dream one step closer, but will a fifth yes be the one that he’s been waiting for the longest?

There’s only one place to get the feeling! The unmissable new season of The Voice premieres soon on its new home, Channel 7 and 7plus.

  1. The emotional blackmail of proposing on air is always a turnoff for me.

Great voice, but even if he wins, this won’t “change his life”. An increase in social media followers and a supplement to his income in the long term is the best he can hope for.

  2. Look, i get the network has to advertise but the one thing that annoys me about promos for this show and Nine did it in parts in the past too, is they spoil it. Same with other talent shows. The whole point of The Voice is to tune in and be shocked on the night to the blind auditions, this just ruins that for me (at least for this contestant). I know what he sounds like now. It will be a good moment, sure but i dunno. In saying this though, from what i’ve seen of the set and the coaches, i think we might be in for a good season.

  3. Very similar to the old X factor promos, almost a nostalgia hit for a different show.

If this is anything like 9’s version, that promo probably spoiled 50mins worth of content. hopefully this season is faster paced.
