Jeremy Fernandez guest hosts Media Watch

Jeremy Fernandez will host Media Watch tonight after host Paul Barry was injured whilst cycling.

He is expected to be off work for at least 4 weeks, nursing a broken pelvis and broken hand.

Producers are also looking at plans for a “longer fix.”

Social media edition Media Bites is expected to draw upon different ‘host’ presenters.

On Saturday  Twitter Paul Barry wrote, “Sorry. No ⁦@ABCmediawatch⁩ for me this week. Broken hand and pelvis after a thoughtless driver backed into the road without looking and cleaned me up on my bike as I rode to work. Not sure when I’ll be good to go again. Soon, I hope.”
