Anthology series American Horror Stories has been renewed for a second season.
The American Horror Story spinoff debuted in July featuring a different horror story each episode and cast including Matt Bomer, Cody Fern, Billie Lourd, John Carroll Lynch, Naomi Grossman, Paris Jackson, Kaia Gerber, Kevin McHale, Danny Trejo and Aaron Tveit.
Meanwhile, two more anthologies American Sports Story and American Love Story are on the way.
American Sports Story will re-examine a prominent event involving a sports figure through the prism of today’s world and will tell the story from multiple perspectives. The first season will be based on the podcast Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc. It will chart the rise and fall of the former New England Patriots player who was convicted for murder.
American Love Story will chart the whirlwind courtship and marriage of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. What started out as a beautiful union for the young couple, widely regarded as American royalty, began to fray under the stress of the relentless microscope and navel gaze of tabloid media.
American Horror Stories airs on FOX Showcase.
