The Voice ready to Cut

No mucking around... teams will be trimmed to 5 acts by Tuesday night.

Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice will be brutal, when coaches cull their teams down to just 5 acts each.

The format shake-up -which dispenses with the Battles this year- will see the episode begin with final Blind Auditions before rolling immediately into The Cut.

Likened to an audition call-back, each coach brings back their teams and has singers face off with a song chosen by their coach.

There’s no mucking around here, with 4 x 5 acts settled by the end of the episode. Ouch.

Seven managed to trim $20m off the budget by cutting the format and dispensing with Live episodes.

7:30pm Tuesday on Seven.

  1. All very Rushed. “I would kill to have you in my team and I would be honoured to have you in my team”. Rinse and repeat. No honour, but plenty of bull dust.

  2. This sounds like a worry.

The show is so much better this year but I have to say the lack of drama is due to the fact that they were not limited to how many they could pick so they nearly all just turned around for any half decent singer, also as some said they just turned around to see the performer which is against the idea. The judges should have had to work harder. Now it looks like the contestants are the ones paying for the judges smooth ride.

  3. This is going to be brutal 🙁 There is so much talent this year i don’t know how they’re going to do it. It kind of puts a dampener on what has been a great season so far. I was kind of hoping there might be steals involved during this process but guess not?
