Tough night for entertainment

Only one entertainment show scored above 500,000 last night -and even that was on Seven.

Up against the Games it was a tough night for alternative shows.

In primetime the Olympics drew 1.79m / 1.24m / 964,000 metro viewers.

The Chase led in entertainment at 662,000 -the only entertainment show above the 500,000 mark.

Meanwhile 7:30 was 506,000 then Travel Guides (491,000), The Bachelor (366,000) and Win the Week (280,000).

Later Mad as Hell drew 415,000 then Rosehaven (337,000).

Seven Network scored 53.7% then Nine 18.8%, 10 11.8%, ABC 10.7% and SBS 5.0%.

Seven News was 1.31m / 1.25m.

Nine News drew 1.04m / 954,000 then A Current Affair (668,000) and Hot Seat (496,000 / 319,000). Movie: Instant Family was 174,000 in 5 cities. Footy Classified drew 56,000 in 3 cities.

The Project was 400,000 / 288,000 for 10. 10 News First was 394,000 / 259,000. Bull insisted on 142,000 / 109,000.

ABC News was 632,000. Would I Lie to You? (194,000) and  The Drum (170,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (165,000 / 123,000) and Jackie Chan: Building an Icon (109,000). Billy Graham was 65,000.

  1. Would normally have watched Bull….but watched Instant Family….I enjoyed it…shame about the credits 9….time to adjust ones emotions before crashing into the next program…news.

  2. It doesn’t help TEN when their bachelors reveal the result and say they found their special someone and are still together.

    As if that’s meant to draw new viewers?
