Nominations for the International Emmy Kids Awards were announced this week by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
South Australian-produced First Day was nominated in the Kids: Live Action category.
The series follows transgender student Hannah Bradford as she embarks on her high school journey, giving her a new opportunity to express her most authentic self. The series by Epic Films for ABC ME has been dubbed into 10 languages and recognised at Rose d’Or, Kidscreen Awards, the GLAAD Media Awards and the AACTA Awards.
The announcement comes shortly after filming was completed on a second series for Hulu and ABC ME.
Winners will be announced on Tuesday October 12 (USA).
