2017 sci-fi Star Trek: Discovery is getting a Free to Air screening.
The series has previously screened on Netflix but Season 1 comes to 10 BOLD in October.
Starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs & Michelle Yeoh it kicks off with a double episode.
The story of Star Trek: Discovery begins roughly a decade before Captain Kirk’s five-year mission – as portrayed in the original Star Trek from the 1960s – and a century before the events of Star Trek: Enterprise. The series follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they encounter new worlds and civilisations, delving into familiar themes and expanding upon an incident that has been talked about within the franchise’s universe, but never fully explored. In the series premiere, Commander Michael Burnham of the Federation starship U.S.S. Shenzhou disputes her captain’s peaceful stance when
their ship encounters hostile forces.
9.25pm Sunday, 10 October on 10 BOLD.

The first half of the first season is quite good, goes a little off the rails in the second half though
Hopefully this is an indication the rest of the new Trek shows will get a broadcast, so I can watch them
Didn’t this run in the highly-prized 10am weekday slot a few months ago?
At last, something on free to air.
