New observational series Aussie Snake Wranglers begins tonight on National Geographic.

The 16 part series, produced by Breakout Productions, follows the busiest snake catching team in Australia on the Sunshine Coast.

Aussie Snake Wranglers is a 16 x 30min documentary series following the busiest snake catching team in Australia as they go head-to-head with some of the deadliest animals on the planet. Set against the backdrop of Queensland’s picturesque Sunshine Coast, our snake wranglers will come up against some of the most venomous snakes in the world including red bellies, eastern browns and whip snakes. In each episode our team, led by venomous snake guru Stuart McKenzie, will answer up to 30 distress calls a day from everyday Aussies whose homes have been invaded by these fearsome reptiles. Time is always the enemy as snakes can disappear in the blink of an eye, leaving families distraught and fearing for their lives. But Stuart and his team won’t stop until the snake is caught and relocated – even if that means putting their own lives on the line!

Episode 1:
Stuart and Chris attend a job at a retirement village to remove a deadly Eastern Brown Snake from an elderly couples front yard. During the catch Stuart narrowly avoids a life threatening bite before continuing the catch. Meanwhile Mick and Adele spend quite some time trying to coax out a stubborn Coastal Carpet Python from the back of an office refrigerator.

Tuesday September 14 at 8.30pm on National Geographic.
