Aussie titles screen at Series Mania

The Unusual Suspects and ABC's Wakefield screen at prestigious French TV festival this week.

Aussie titles are currently screening at Series Mania Festival in Lille, France this week.

SBS drama The Unusual Suspects and ABC’s Wakefield have their International Premieres in the showcase Panorama section.

Fisk and Iggy & Ace both have International Premieres in other sections.

In the online Forum are Aftertaste and RFDS.

“The diverse Australian line-up showcased this year at Series Mania is once again proof of the extraordinary creativity of the local writers, producers, commissioners and series makers. All the shows lining up this year are unique, original and on par with the best the world of fiction has to offer today,” says Francois-Pier Pelinard-Lambert, Series Mania International artistic advisor.

Despite the no-show of U.S. and Asia executives and caution over in-person attendance by the U.K. industry, on-site industry accreditations were over  2,000. This compares to 2,700 delegates in 2019 after no event was held in person in 2020.

More than 70 series are being shown thus year, selected from more than 450 entires.
