Pilot Jimmy Nicholson chose Holly Kingston in the season final of 10’s Bachelor series.
The reality series culminated in Alice Springs with Nicholson telling Kingston, “Holly, when I think of a future with you, it’s exciting, it’s fun, it’s passionate. You make anything we do incredible, and you light up any room you are in. I am in love with you and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both of us.”
But it was heartbreak for 27-year-old occupational therapist Brooke Cleal from Victoria. During a hot air ballooning flight Brooke told Jimmy she had fallen in love with him. There were tears all round when Brooke was sent home at the 11th hour.
Holly was overcome with happiness that she forgot what she had planned to say.
But it hasn’t been a TV romance for 10 with Season 9 drawing the lowest ratings of any of the series so far.
10 has its hopes set on the upcoming Bachelorette series in which Indigenous bisexual Brooke Blurton will date both males and females singles.

Very happy that Jimmy picked Holly. Great choice and great couple. Hope they work out.
Slightly hilarious that, on PayTV, Aussie Gold Hunters out-rated all Sky News evening presenters.
Perhaps viewers thought that AGH was giving away gold?
