CBS This Morning rebrands as CBS Mornings
New name, new host, new studio for ViacomCBS breakfast show stateside.
US breakfast show CBS This Morning is rebranding as CBS Mornings from September 7 in a move towards a single brand across all seven days.
It will join with CBS Saturday Morning and the long-running CBS Sunday Morning.
Former NFL star Nate Burleson will also join Gayle King and Tony Dkoupil at the anchor table, replacing Anthony Mason.
The show will also be switching studios, leaving its ground-floor home at the CBS Broadcast Center on the west side of Manhattan for a second-floor studio at ViacomCBS’ corporate headquarters in Times Square (the same studio that housed MTV’s Total Request Live).
This sees CBS Mornings joins ABC’s Good Morning America in Times Square, with NBC’s Today show just a few blocks north in Rockefeller Plaza. It currently trails third in the breakfast battle.
CBS This Morning launches in 2012 as a successor to The Early Show.
It screens in Australia on 10 while CBS News is also available on Paramount+.
